Paradigm Geophysical and GeofizykaTorun deliver technology of seismic prospection for unconventional hydrocarbons

New software Earth Study 360, developed by Paradigm Geophysical, and implemented to land seismic production by Geofizyka Torun, allows access required level of precision in prospection for unconventional resources of hydrocarbons. Earth Study 360, after first in Poland application to shale gas Lubocino project for PGNiG, now undergoes final stage of implementation when it is being applied on production scale to the next PGNiG shale gas project in Poland, Opalino. That technology is used to estimate geomechanical parameters of Silurian and Ordovician shales. Joint application of advanced theory of seismic waves propagation software from Paradigm, unique skills of processing land seismic in time-domain and practical implementation of Earth Study 360 by Geofizyka Torun, with geological expertise and knowledge of shales from all available prospection methods by PGNiG, guarantees high level of precision and reliability, necessary at all stages: prospection, development, and production of shale gas, when reservoir characterization is routine.

Geofizyka Torun offers novelty seismic solution: handling data in coordinates natural to geologist: (depth, opening angle, azimuth angle) instead of traditional system used in acquisition: (time, x, y). That is Earth Study 360 technology, implemented in GT in cooperation with Paradigm Geophysical. The technology is comprehensive and advanced enough to make it efficient both in prospection for unconventional resources, and in solving conventional tasks in areas of complex geology.
