PRINCIPLES
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Performance is a critical element of GT culture and continues to be an important differentiator, not only for clients but also for its employees. The Company considers safeguarding the environment and preserving the health and integrity of its employees, contractors, and neighbouring communities, as an absolute prerequisite to other business objectives. No accidents, no harm to people and damage to the environment. These are the inspirations that drive the way GT conducts its operations.
HSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
GT's success depends on client oriented strategy and environmental sensitivity. The fundamental issue is establishing professional grounds for meeting the commitments to high standards of health and safety performance in all operational activities worldwide. Such grounds at GT are industry principles based on International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP), International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC) and HSE Management System (HSE-MS), together with all its standards, planning activities, responsibilities, practices, procedures, processes and resources for developing, implementing, achieving, reviewing and maintaining the Company's policies. GT's aspiration is to prevent all accidents through integration of HSE-MS principles in all its business processes.
RISK CONTROL
GT operates a business risk management process consistent with OGP principles and guidelines. This management process provides the basis by which the Company manages and demonstrates control of risk throughout all of its activities. Environmental and social issues are primary elements of this process, having been identified as a potential significant risk to GT's business. Security risks are managed through the business risk management process, which systematically identifies, evaluates and puts in place measures to remove or migrate such risks. The Company constantly monitors and assesses any security threats to its personnel and assets.
ACHIEVMENTS
GT continues progress year by year. GT's onshore operations have recorded in recent years historic low number of LTIs and the decreasing LTIF tendency. Effective HSE Management System updates and focus on the latest OGP developments contributed significantly to achieving numerous zero LTI services.
