Performance Monitoring

|
It is essential to monitor performance to ensure that HSE objectives and standards are achieved, and also to identify areas where performance may be improved. Geofizyka Torun's safety performance is monitored via the review of HSE Plan performance, thorough investigation of incidents and accidents, and Geofizyka Toruń external and Client audit /inspection.
Lag indicators, which provide feedback on HSE performance, remain the Industry recognised performance criteria with respect to Lost Time Injuries (LTI). The objective during all projects is to complete the scope of work without injury or lost time.
Geofizyka Toruń prefers pro-active, lead indicators, as with reactive lag indicators there is no guarantee that the risk is adequately controlled. Instead, more pro-active indicators are used to provide the basis for making decisions.
Safety Plan performance and effectiveness are reported to the operations management via safety meeting minutes. External specialist agencies, Geofizyka Torun's supervisors and Client representatives carry out audits and inspections. Where safety performance is unsatisfactory, remedial actions are identified and assigned to improve safety performance.
In addition to the above, the following will be provided:
- Safety statistics will be publicised at monthly HSE meetings giving the opportunity for comment and feedback, and posted in a prominent location on the work site.
- The HSE Adviser and Party Chief will summarise Health, Safety and Environmental performance by means of statistics in the monthly / final report.
