Well Services, Logging & Perforating
Direct assessment of the rock mass, the deposit and the technical condition of the well
Why this service is important
Well logging surveys provide information obtained directly from the rock mass, in the natural setting of the rock formations. They are an important complement to seismic surveys, as they allow the geophysical image to be correlated with the actual properties of the drilled rocks, reservoir fluids and the technical conditions of the well.
GT’s offer
GT provides specialist well logging services in open, cased and production wells. It combines the experience of its survey teams, state-of-the-art equipment, technical facilities and interpretative expertise.
The operational infrastructure for well logging consists of three drilling geophysics bases, equipped with a full range of instrumentation, technical, maintenance and logistical facilities. This enables the preparation and execution of measurement work, as well as a swift response to the requirements of assignments carried out under various operational conditions.
The scope of services includes geophysical logging, well condition surveys, production logging, perforations, instrumentation work, mud logging and operations supporting the development and intensification of production zones.
Technologies and operational advantages
Well logging enable the determination of, amongst other things, lithology, natural radioactivity, porosity, permeability, reservoir rock properties, the presence and nature of reservoir fluids, temperature, pressure, flow rate and flow profile, as well as the geometry and technical condition of the well.
In production wells, GT carries out production logging and assesses the technical condition of the wells using, amongst other things, pressure slugs, geophysical equipment and multi-arm cavernometers. The measurement results are integrated with geological, seismic, production and petrophysical data.
Value for the customer
The customer receives direct data on rock properties, reservoir fluids, flow conditions and the technical condition of the well. This data supports the assessment of production potential, the planning of perforations and production enhancement operations, and the mitigation of technical risks.
